Kenneth H. Furtah

Mr. Kenneth H. Furtah, age 76, passed away from heart failure Wednesday, November 11, 2009. Mr. Furtah was born November 20, 1932. He retired from Pullman Power Co. based in Kansas City, MO. Mr Furtah had been a resident of Bartow for the past 5 years, moving from Wauchula where he and his family had lived for 30 years. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his son Mark Furtah. Mr. Furtah is survived by his wife Edna Furtah, two daughters; Cindy Adams and husband Tim of Lakeland, and Debra Kinder and husband Henry of Wauchula. He also leaves behind three grandchildren; Megan Viall and husband BJ, Jamie Harrison and fiancee' Ashlee Abbott and Shyanne Adams; four great grandchildren; Peyton Viall, Taryn Martin, Luke Martin, and Kyri Grantham. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street in Bartow where the family will receive friends Friday November 13th from 5pm to 6pm. Funeral services will follow immediately at 6:00 pm at the funeral home chapel.
