Kenneth "Ken" Wallace Beery

Kenneth "Ken" Wallace Beery 82 of Bartow passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014 from heart failure. Born in Arkansas, he moved to Florida at a young age, and to Bartow from Brandon in 1970. Ken worked in Retail Management for Belk-Lindsey in Bartow for numerous years and later retired after 14 years as the Supervisor of the Property Evidence Room for the Polk County Clerk of The Courts Office. He was a Korean War Veteran and of the Methodist Faith and enjoyed hunting and fishing. A loving husband, father and grandfather he will be missed. Ken was preceded in death by his parents Carson M. "Bill" and Etta Beery and two brothers Milton and Donald Beery. He is survived by his wife Frances Beery of Bartow, two sons Keith Beery and wife Vickie of Lakeland and Mark Beery of Bartow, as well as two grandchildren Caitlin Beery and Eric Myers and wife Ami, and two great grandchildren Kaydence Myers and Bryson Myers all of Lakeland.
