Ken Mccroan

Bartow- Ken McCroan, 75, died Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at Tampa General Hospital of complications due to a stroke. Born June 14, 1934 in Jackson County, FL, Mr. McCroan has been a resident of Bartow since 1957, moving from Panama City, FL. He was an engineer for the Florida Dept of Transportation for 36 yrs. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bartow, serving as Deacon, Sunday school teacher & Prayer Warrior for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents: Perry & Mary McCroan and a brother James McCroan. He is survived by his wife of 49 yrs: Dorothy K. "Dot" McCroan & daughter: Karen E. McCroan, both of Bartow; son: Michael and wife Lori McCroan of Ocoee, FL; Brother: George McCroan and wife Hella of Pensacola, FL; Sister: Zelma Frost and husband Bill of Panama City, FL; Grandsons: Dylan and Rhett McCroan both of Ocoee, FL A visitation will be held Friday August 28, 2009 from 6-8PM at the First Baptist Church of Bartow and funeral services will follow on Saturday at 2:30pm at the First Baptist Church of Bartow. Interment will be at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow.
