She was born October 28, 1949 in Grundy, VA to James & Emily Lester She was a Customer Service representative for the Daughters of American Revolution. She was Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Randy Lester, Thomas Lester, Lew Lester, Bertha Hale, Gladys Arnold and Gary Charles Lester. She is survived by her husband Carl Gillespie, daughter Emily Gillespie, brother Jerry Lester, sisters Betty Jo Hockenberry, Oretha Browning and granddaughter Gabby.
