Kathleen S. Buchanan

Bartow – Kathleen "Kitty" S. Buchanan, 89, passed away Friday, February 16, 2024 at The Club of Bartow Assisted Living in Bartow. She was born on September 23, 1934 in Broxton, GA. She moved to Bartow at five years old where she remained. She worked 32 years in the citrus industry most of that time with Ben Hill Griffin in Bartow. She worked 11 years with Precision Aire in Bartow where she retired. She also worked many years at Royal Castle/Jim’s Restaurant in Bartow. Ms. Buchanan is preceded in death by her father, Levi Sheffield; mother, Mary Pitts Sheffield Smith; daughter, Gail Diane Buchanan; sisters, Gladys Melton, Wayne Adkison, and Farnice Watson. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Lewis (Donald Witmer); grandsons, Chad Ryan Lewis (Amber), Kyle David Lewis; granddaughter, Brittany Diane Lewis; step-grandsons, Chris Witmer (Melissa), Kevin Witmer (Jessica), Eric Witmer (Miranda) and eleven great-grandchildren.
