Bartow - Kathie Smith, age 74, passed away October 31, 2023, at her residence in Bartow. She was born on August 15, 1949, in Buffalo, NY. She is a graduate of the University of Florida. She was a Microbiologist for Bartow Memorial Hospital & Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was of the Presbyterian faith and member of American Medical Technologist Assoc. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald R. Smith and stepdaughter Sonya Yakub. She is survived by her sister Sue Cannon (Art) of Green Cove Springs, stepdaughter Cindy Perrin (Gene) of TN, grandchildren Christopher Perrin of TN, Lauren Rudd of TN, Benjamin Perrin of TN, Hunter Perrin of TN and Mohamad Yakub of NY.
