Katherine Mary Allen

Mrs. Katherine Mary Wall Allen, age 69, of Highland City, FL, died Friday, June 26, 2009, at her Residence. She was born October 3, 1939 in Norwich, CT. Mrs. Allen moved to Highland City in 1957 from New London, CT. She was a custodian for the School Board and Hospital. Mrs. Allen was a member of First Community Church of Highland City. She was preceded in death by her son, Melvin E. Allen, Jr. She is survived by her husband Melvin Allen of Highland City. Two Daughters, Sharon Schwarzkopf of Lakeland and Karen Hielscher of Alturas. Three Sisters, Ann Marie Hoffman, Peggy Coyer, and Mary Satterson all of Norwich, CT. Three Brothers, James Wall, Jr., Tommy Wall, Timmy Wall all of Norwich, CT. Seven Grandchildren Brandy Souvannarath, Wesley Hielscher, Jack Edmund, Justin Edmund, Teresa Schwarzkopf, Cory Schwarzkopf, and Lesli McCoy. One Great Granddaughter Mikalynn Souvannarath. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street, Bartow, FL. The family will be receiving friends from 6 to 8 Monday, June 29, 2009 at the Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. The service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. Interment will be at Oak Hill Burial Park in Lakeland.
