Karen King Hall 60 of Bartow passed away Monday, December 5, 2011 at Tampa General Hospital due to complications from a stroke. Born May 14, 1951 in Bartow she was a lifelong resident of the area and of the Southern Baptist Faith. Karen retired in 2010 as a Detention Deputy Sheriff Officer with fifteen great years of service with the Polk County Sheriffs Office. She enjoyed hunting, fishing and also softball and bowling. Loved by many she will be dearly missed. She is survived by her son Chris Hall and wife Christina of Bartow. Two grandchildren Alexander Hall and Alysa Hall both of Ocala. Three sisters Mickey Johnson of Lake Wales, Margo Haley of Lakeland and Melva Gay of Alturas. One brother Wayne King of Lakeland. Also many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 7th from 6-8pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow with Funeral services to follow on Thursday at 10am at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home.
