June L. Peacock, age 77, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, January 26, 2018, in Bryson City, North Carolina. She was born October 13, 1940, in New Brockton, Alabama to Ben Logan and Willie Pearl Bass Logan. As a child she moved with her family to Ft. Meade, FL where she graduated from Ft. Meade High School. She was married and had one child, Thomas Peacock in 1971. She worked as a book keeper and office manager off and on in her adult life but was most known as being a loving mother and devoted wife. June truly loved her family and friends and tried to live life to the fullest through simple pleasures like chatting with friends and family, baking sweets, and spending time with her granddaughters. June had an uncanny ability to touch people in a deep and positive way. She was selfless, kind, and a true friend to all that had the pleasure of knowing her. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Betty Collier and by brothers Max and Wayne Logan. She is survived by her son Thomas and daughter-in-law Susie; her granddaughters Lola and Marina; her brothers Doug and Jack Logan; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family, friends, and others whose lives June touched are invited to the McLean Funeral Home, 306 E. Broadway St., Ft. Meade, FL from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 8th, 2018, to celebrate her life, tell stories, catch up or just chat.
