June H. Minerva

June H. Minerva, age 78, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2022. She was born October 23, 1943 in Bartow, FL to Fred & Mary Jo Haferkamp. June graduated from Bartow Summerlin Institute in 1961, she then recieved her Bachelor's degree from FSU and her Master's degree from USF. She was a Teacher and Guidance Counselor for many different schools in Polk County over her career. June was named Fort Meade Teacher of the Year in 1993 and Traviss Technical College Teacher of the year in 2009. She is survived by her husband of 22 years Joseph "Pete" Minerva of Lakeland, daughter Traci Goddard of Naples, step daughter Deborah Minerva & husband Steve Conley and step son Anthony Minerva & wife Julie. Graveside service will be 10:00 am Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow, FL.
