June L. Kloster

June L. Kloster, age 94, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 in Winter Haven. Born February 3, 1923 in Carbon, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Howard E. and Irma M. (Brown) Dowen. Mrs. Kloster was a High School Teacher in the Indiana Public School System for many years before retiring. June was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Bartow, Delta Kappa Gamma, International, and the Indiana Retired Teachers Association. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Fred M. Kloster in 2009. Mrs. Kloster is survived by her daughter, Becky Kloster of Bartow, her two sisters: Anne James (Webb) of Tarpon Springs, Sue Barry (Gilbert) of Clayton, IN, along with several nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors in the Floral Lakes community. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 2:00pm at the First United Methodist Church, 310 South Broadway in Bartow.
