Julie Carr

Julie Carr, age 77, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2015 in Lakeland. A lifelong area resident, Ms. Carr was born January 15, 1938 in Lakeland. She was the daughter of the late George and Joyce McDow. Julie retired from Lakeland Regional Medical Center where she was an emergency room nurse for many years. She was also a longtime member of Gapway Baptist Church. Ms. Carr is survived by three daughters: Jeni Williamson (David) of Mulberry, Cindy Douberly (Tracy) of Bartow, Vicki Barnhill (Greg) of Lakeland, her sister Margery McDow of Lakeland, seven grandchildren: Aaron, Jason, Alyse, Brandon, Ashlee, Lauren, Evan, and six great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 18th from 6pm to 8pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow.
