Juanice Lawson

Bartow - Juanice Lawson, age 94, passed away March 16, 2023, at Advent Health Lake Wales. She was born on November 4, 1928, in Clearwater, FL and moved to Bartow at the age of two. She was a lifelong resident of Bartow and was employed as Secretary for Public Works for the city she loved until she retired. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. She was a former member of the Bridge Club and Lioness Club where she served as Vice President. She enjoyed square dancing, sewing, crocheting, embroidery, and cross stitch and made the famous clown costume for the Volunteer fire department. She is preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, and her daughter, Glenda Parr. She is survived by a loving family that includes her daughter Deborah Broadrick, and brother, Loyd Walker (Barbara). She was affectionately known as “Nini” by her 5 grandchildren Deena Hillman, Slade Kitchener (Patrick), Lane Parr, Jason Hillman (Cortney), Jodi Pueschell (Tommy), 7 great grandchildren Brandi Parr, Alexander Parr, Brianne Pueschell, Alyssa Hillman, Caitlin Pueschell, Adelyn Claire Hillman, Hyatt Hillman and 1 great great grandchild, Maximus Anderson. She will be missed by all who loved her but has finally been called home by her Heavenly Father. Rest easy, Nini. May you be at peace.
