Joyce Swallows

Bartow - Joyce Swallows, age 81, passed away February 2, 2022, at Lakeland Regional Health. She was born on January 18, 1941, in Colquitt County, GA. She was a Sectionizer in the Citrus Industry and then worked in the school lunchroom. She volunteered her time at Floral Avenue Elementary School. She was a member of Community Christian Church in Bartow. She was preceded in death by her brothers Melvin Williams & Jerry Williams and sisters Jacquline Zalys, Gloria Jean Donnell & Darline Michaels, She is survived by a loving family that includes her daughters Dochie Kim Hillis (Dale) of Lake Wales & Vickie Harris (Danny) of Mulberry, sons James A. Tillman, Jr. (Rhonda) of Bartow, Joseph Tillman (Tempie) of Bartow & Roscoe Welch of Bartow, sisters Carolyn Lambeth of Pollard, AL, Joelyn Crosby of Frostproof, Syble Charboneau of Bartow & Peggy Lee Clem of Frostproof, 13 grandchildren 38 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Monday, February 7, 2022, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Wildwood Cemetery, Bartow.
