Joyce Margaret Mcgalliard

Joyce Margaret McGalliard, age 88, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025. She was born September 30, 1936 in Lakeland, FL to Calvin & Edith Collier. Joyce was a Switchboard Operator for the City of Lakeland for 30 years. Prior to working for the City of Lakeland she worked for GTE for 18 years. Joyce was a member of Ardella Baptist Church in Lakeland. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arthur "Jim" McGalliard, brothers Wilbur Collier, Bill Collier, Ray Collier and Johnny Collier. Joyce is survived by her son Ronnie McGalliard & wife Cory of Lakeland, daughter Kimberly Long of Lakeland, brother Edward "Eddie" Collier of Umatilla, five grandchildren Angela Guadalupe & husband Victor, Sarah Stroud & husband Justin, Melissa Stone& husband Brett, Cody Ray Long & Chloe Joyce Long and three great grandchildren Ava, Wyatt & Gwendolyn. Family will receive friends Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at First Baptist Church in Bartow, FL. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at First Baptist Church. Interment will be held at Fitzgerald Cemetery in Lakeland, FL.
