Joyce Pierce Lanier, age 78, of Fort Meade, FL, died Monday, November 1, 2010, at Royal Care of Avon Park. Joyce was born December 18, 1931 in Wauchula, she was a lifelong resident of ths area. She was Owner & Operator of Antiques & Collectibles and Lanier Western Wear in Wauchula. She was a member of New Hope Baptist in Wauchula. She was preceded in death by her husband Glen Edwin Lanier, Sr. Parents Robert & Doshia Pierce and Sister Glenda Browder. She is survived by her Daughter; Susan Lanier Chapman of Fort Meade. Two Sons; Glen E. Lanier, Jr. of Chicago, IL and Christopher M. Lanier Shreveport, LA. Seven Grandchildren; Will Chapman of Fort Meade, Charlene Sastre & Stephanie Lanier both of Dallas, TX, Monica Lanier & Jennifer Lanier both of San Antonio, TX and Trinity Lanier & Trenton Lanier both of Shreveport, LA. Great Granddaughter; Sophie Sastre of Dallas, TX. Three Sisters; Ruby Howze & Topsy See both of Wauchula and Bobbie Bolin of Sebring. Arrangements are being handled by McLean Funeral Home, 306 East Broadway in Fort Meade, FL. Graveside service will be Friday 11:00 am, November 5, 2010 at New Hope Cemetery in Wauchula, FL.
