Joyce Kinsey Tidwell

Joyce Kinsey Tidwell, age 88, passed away on April 17, 2022, at her home in Bartow. Born May 25, 1933, in Monticello, FL, she was the daughter of the late Denny Kinsey and Nellie Kinsey. Mrs. Tidwell was a homemaker and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Bartow. Along with her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Tidwell, son, Amos Tidwell along with Fanny and Gordon Jenkins, her brother, Jinx Jenkins, her sisters: Maxine Chastain and Ann Guthrie. She is survived by a loving family that includes her children: Brenda Jenkins (Bill) of Ocala, Charles Tidwell of Alturas and Beverly Abbitt (James) of Babson Park. She also leaves behind her sister, Bernice McIntyre, eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 25th from 10 am to 11 am at the First Baptist Church of Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am at the church. Interment will follow at Central Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Lithia.
