Joseph "Joe" Allen Bennett

Joseph “Joe” Allen Bennett, age 69, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday April 9th, 2025 after he lost his battle with cancer. He was born on December 10th, 1955 in Plant City, FL to Kattie Mae Bennett. Joe was a hard working, talented mechanic for the mines for most of his life. When he wasn’t working hard, he spent countless hours in his shop restoring his classic cars or working on various projects. He had a deep love for fresh water fishing and spending time with his family and many friends. Joe did not know a stranger and was kind and welcoming to all. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Karla Bennett of Lake Wales, two sons Joseph “Joe” Bennett and wife April; and Michael Bennett and wife Jessica, both of Fort Meade; sister Millie Stewart and husband Ray of Plant City; brother Frankie Williams of Lakeland; eight grandchildren: Lacey Seay and husband Conner, Trenton Bennett, Lane Hicks, Bryce Bennett, Layla Hicks, Mason Bennett, Nolan Bennett, and Chevy Bennett. Family will receive friends Friday, April 18, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Liberty Worship Church of God, 3607 Rifle Range Rd, Winter Haven, FL, 33880. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am Friday, April 18, 2025, at Liberty Worship Church of God.
