Joseph F. Driesler

Joseph F. Driesler, age 91, passed away Monday. April 2, 2018 in Bartow. Born April 17, 1926 in Danville, KY, he was the son of the late Joe and Dora (Martin) Driesler. Mr. Driesler was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Air Force. He retired from the Polk County School Board where he worked as a Science Teacher. Mr. Driesler was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Bartow. He was an avid tennis player, wood craftsman and delivered the Polk County Democrat for 25 years. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Mary Jane Driesler and his brother Morris Driesler. He is survived by a loving family that includes his three children: Eric Driesler of Bartow, Dee Merchant of Alton, MO, and Karla McQuain of Nashville, TN, along with his eight grandchildren. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday April 6th at 3:00pm at the First Baptist Church of Bartow.
