Joseph Dale Conley

  Joseph "Dale" Conley age 74 passed away Friday June 1,2018 with his loving family at his side. The seventh of ten children, he was born on November 18,1943 in Bell, Florida to Bryon Benjamin and Mary Lee Mathews Conley. Dale was raised in Bartow, Florida, graduating from Summerlin Institute in 1961. He continued his education at Troy State University, graduating with a BS degree in accounting and business administration. He served in the United State Marine Corps Reserves. Dale attended All Saints Episcopal Church. His lifelong love of woodworking led to a professional career in the lumber industry. He was Vice President of Operations for Universal Building Specialties for 29 years, and for 15 years concluded his career in sales at Robbins/Universal Forest Product. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Iris Foster Conley, son James Dale Conley  (fiancé Melissa) Plant City: daughter Allison Conley Bodiford (DL) Bartow; brothers Homer Lee Conley (Gayle) Bartow; Albert Warren Conley (Arlene) Arcadia; David Paul Conley (Ginny) Ocala; James Kent Conley (Carolyn) Ocala; sisters Louetta Conley Moore (CD) Bell; Norma Conley Cannon (Jody) Ft. Meade; Mary Conley Henderson (Ronnie) Lakeland; Barbara Conley Newell (Gary) Bartow; Ruth Conley Trainor (John)Lakeland; Memorial Services will be held Saturday June 9th at 1pm at All Saints Episcopal Church 202 S. Massachusetts Ave. Lakeland Fl. A reception will follow service in the Parrish Hall. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to All Saints Building Fund or American Cancer Society.
