Joseph Francis Blum, Jr.

Joseph Francis Blum, Jr. passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025. Joe was born on December 20, 1936, in Glen Cove, New York. Joe worked for the Polk County Sheriff's Office for 20 years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving for 12 years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and enjoyed serving his community. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Blum, sister Patricia Putney, and brother Phillip Blum. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, June Blum, sons Joseph Blum III and Patrick Blum (Rhonda), step- children, Michelle Royce ( Steve), Terri Whitaker, Michael Whaley ( Heather), 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Wauchula Cemetery, Wauchula.
