Johnny Whistin

Johnny Whistin, age 72, passed away Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015 in Lakeland. Born August 15, 1942 in Pavo, GA, he was the son of Harlice and Oralea Whistin. Mr. Whistin retired from U.S. Agri Chemicals Corp. where he worked as a Maintenance Supervisor. Johnny is survived by his wife Emily "Joyce" Kingham of Bartow, his four children; John Michael "Mike" Whistin (Sheila) of Bartow, Lora Whistin Carver (Steve) of Kissimmee, Jessica Whistin of Bartow, Shannon Hutchinson of Winter Haven, and a step son John David Kingham of Lakeland. He also leaves behind his brother James Marvin Criswell of Thomasville, GA, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015 from 6PM to 8PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow Thursday the 22nd at 10:00AM at the funeral home chapel.
