Johnny Carl Friend, Sr.

Johnny C. Friend, Sr., passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023, in Bartow. Born August 14, 1956, in Muskogee, OK, he was the son of the late Quimba and Sue (King) Friend. Mr. Friend was a Regional Director in the Insurance industry for many years. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers: Jessie Friend, and Jerry Friend. Johnny is survived his sons: Chris Friend (Carrie) of Collinsville, OK, Charles Disdier (April) of Pikeville, NC, Johhny Friend, Jr. of Lake Wales, his longtime girlfriend Bobbie Dodd of Mulberry, his sister Judy Olden of Texas and his grandchildren: Jaden, Alex, Ashton, Julie, Johnnie and Jacob. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 25th from 10am to 11am at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am at the funeral home.
