In Loving Memory of Johnathan Ray Bawcum (July 10, 1984 - November 9, 2022) “As long as we remember a person, they’re not really gone. Johnathan was the loving son of Maria (Dr. Richard) Sweeney (Soto) and Johnny Ray Bawcum. A devoted partner to Elly Ziegenhirt. An unendingly proud and dedicated father to Dalton Ray Bawcum. He was an unapologetic force of nature in the gym, passionate about his craft as a welder/industrial mechanic, a true patriot and unwaveringly loyal to his friends (who became family). Johnathan also leaves behind the following family members to continue his legacy. His siblings; Amanda Swan (Tim, Summer, Finn, Isla, Eden, and Evan), Craig Bawcum (Hayden, Gatlin), Richie Sweeney, Elise Sweeney and Mackenzie Bawcum. His grandmothers; Maria J. Soto and Ima J. Bawcum. His great aunt; Maria E Gonzalez. Many loving uncles, aunts and cousins.The family cordially invites any and all to attend Johnathan's memorial arrangements as follows; A wake will be held on Friday, 11/18/22, 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home (650 E. Main St., Bartow, FL 33830). A service will be held on Saturday, 11/19/22, 11:00 A.M. at Haven Worship Center (1835 Overlook Dr., Winter Haven, FL 33884). He will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Burial Park (4620 US Hwy 98 S. Lakeland, FL 33812) following the service. A celebration of life will follow the funeral at Sackett Ranch (4720 Hancock Lake Rd, Lakeland, FL 33812). Please join us in celebrating his legacy by enjoying Johnathan’s favorite food/drinks, cigars, music and by sharing the beautiful memories and your favorite stories. **tentatively starting at 1:30 P.M.
