John F. West

John F. West 82, of Lake Wales, passed away Nov. 1, 2011 due to heart failure. John was born in Florala, AL on Dec. 29, 1928. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict.He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan and son, Wilbur, four sisters, Avis McGourick, Adele Howell, Mildred Powell, Meryle Ward, and two brothers Clifford James, and William Vryce West. John is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gladys (Tyson) and one son Michael (Normita), grandson John Michael, and grandaughter Bridget Marie, Las Vegas, NV. Two brothers Willie V. Florala, AL and Felton V. (Donna) of Carson City, NV. and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial service 3 P.M.
