John Luke Radford

John L. "Luke" Radford, age 97, passed away from natural causes Thursday, October 24, 2013 in Bartow. Born January 7, 1916 in Tarrytown, GA, he was the son of the late Andrew and Dora Belle Radford. Mr. Radford was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving in WWII. He was a longtime employee of U.S. Steel. Luke was also a longtime member of Lake Buffum Baptist Church in Fort Meade. He is preceded in death by his wife Louise Radford, and is survived by his son Johnny Radford (Ozelle) of South Carolina, grandson Johnathan Radford (Amanda) of South Carolina, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 10am to 11am at the Lake Buffum Baptist Church in Fort Meade. Services will follow at 11:00am at the church.
