John H. Mangum

John Hubert Mangum, age 77, of Lakeland, died Thursday, February 24, 2011. Born June 6, 1933 in Turkey Creek, FL, Mr. Mangum has been a lifelong resident of the area. He was a graduate of Turkey Creek High School, an Air Force veteran of Korea & a Golden Glove Boxer. He was a sales representive for National Cash Register for many years. He was a member of the Ahava Baptist of Plant City. He is survived by his daughter: Rebekka Mangum of Tampa; two sons: Matthew Mangum of Tampa; John Mangum, Jr. of Oklahoma. One brother: Hida Mangum of Middleberry, FL; two sisters: Grace Waters of Plant City & Jeanne Stewart of Ruskin, FL; sister in law: Patricia Mangum of Lakeland. Graveside funeral services with military honors will be held 11:00 am Monday, February 28, 2011 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla.
