John C. King, age 93, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018 in Bartow. Born November 4, 1924 in Indianapolis, IN, he was the son of the late Foy E. and Gertrude (Evans) King. Mr. King was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in both WWII and in the Korean War. John was the owner and operator of K.T. Pharmacy in Bartow where he also served as it's Pharmacist since it opened on January 9, 1956 until he retired in 2013. Mr. King was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Bartow. He was a past President of the Bartow Lions Club, and also the Florida Pharmacy Association where he receive numerous honors over the course of many years and was a member of the Free Mason Tuscan Lodge #6 in Bartow. John is preceded in death by his wife Marcy King in 2004. He is survived by a loving family that includes his children: Steven King (Linda) of Winter Haven, Timothy P. King of Seattle, WA, Mark M. King (Carolyn), Matthew F. King, Christopher E. King, and Marcy Kay Prevatte (Kevin) all of Bartow. Mr. King also leaves behind eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Friday June 22nd at 10:30am at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 500 West Stuart Street in Bartow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church at P.O.
