John Sanford Edwards, Jr.

Bartow - John Sanford Edwards, Jr. 99, passed away Friday, February 13, 2015. Mr. Edwards was born September 5, 1915 in Tallahassee, FL. He was a Lt. in the Army Air Corps during WWII, he then served in the US Air Force retiring as a Lt. Colonel from the Air Force Reserve. Mr. Edwards was a County Supervisor for the US Dept of Agriculture. He was a member of the Bartow ARP Church. He was also a member of the American Orchid Society, Ridge Orchid Society, Kiwanis Club, Sons of the American Revolution, Sons of Confederate Veterans, American Legion and the Polk County Historical Society. He was preceded in death by his first wife Evelyn Edwards. He is survivied by his wife Bobbie Edwards of Bartow. Daughter Sandra "Sandy" Raulerson & husband Bo of Bartow and son Roger Diamond of Robertson, WY. Two grandchildren Katherine Moore & husband David and John Raulerson & wife Sarah. Three great grandchildren Emory David Moore, Molly-Grace Somerville Moore and Tucker Bennett Raulerson. Family will receive friends Monday, February 16, 2015 from 10 to 11am at Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, 250 E. Stanford in Bartow, FL. Funeral service will follow at 11:00am at Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. Interment will be held at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow, FL. Memorials may be made to the organization of one's choice.
