John George Calandros

John George Calandros, of Bartow, Florida, passed away on October 18, 2023, at age 83 after a lengthy illness from Alzheimer's. Born on December 30, 1939, John was the eldest son of George and Mary Katheryn Calandros, from Logan, West Virginia. John graduated from Logan High School in 1958, where he participated in sports and ROTC. He Eventually moved his family to Bartow, Florida in 1969. He became a businessman, owning and operating several laundromats around Polk County. He enjoyed watching sports and bowled for many years. John was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law Sharon Calandros, and grandson Matthew Logan Eady. He is survived by his wife, Melissa Calandros; son George John ( Shanna) Calandros; daughter Johnna Calandros ( Mark) Eady; brothers Jack Calandros and Jerry (Diane) Calandros; seven grandchildren, a great granddaughter, and several nephews. A private service will be held in Logan, West Virginia.
