John R. Blackburn

Bartow - John R. Blackburn, age 76, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the Bartow Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bartow. Born July 14, 1940 in Folkston, GA, Mr. Blackburn was a resident of Bartow for since 1957, moving from Starke, Florida. He was a heavy equipment mechanic in the construction industry for many years. He is preceded in death by his wife: Sadie Blackburn. He is survived by two sons: Johnny D. Blackburn of Bartow & Chester Blackburn and wife Cindy of Lake Wales; a sister: Geraldine Forsythe of Auburndale; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 10:00 till noon at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow.
