John Andy Bergquist, Sr.

Mr. John Andy Bergquist, Sr., age 77, of Bartow, FL, died Wednesday from respiratory failure, May 21, 2008, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Mr. Bergquist was born August 10, 1930 in Pierce, FL. He has lived in Bartow most of his life where he was an Owner of Polk Equipment in Bartow. He was a faithful member of Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church of Bartow. Mr. Bergquist was in the Marine Corps and served in the Korean War where he was a recipient of a purple heart. He was preceded in death by his son John Andy Bergquist, Jr. He is survived by his Wife; Natalie Bergquist of Bartow Daughter; Mrs. Janet & Lyle Bulman of Bartow. Three Sons; Glen & Victoria Gilchrist of The Woodlands, TX, Greg & Connie Bergquist of Santa Rose, CA, and Gary Gilchrist of Venice, FL. Brother; Richard Bergquist of Anna Marie, FL Eleven Grandchildren-Brandon Bulman of Lakeland, Bryan Bulman of Tampa, Brett Bulman of Bartow, James Gilchrist of San Antonio, TX, Andrew Gilchrist of Waco, TX Christopher Gilchrist of The Woodlands, TX, Jonathan Bergquist of Orange, CA, Susanna Dergee of Santa Rose, CA, Jackson Gilchrist of Venice, FL, Samantha Gilchrist of Venice, and Taylor Gilchrist of Venice. The Family will recieve friends Saturday, May 24, 2008 from 6 to 8 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. The Service will be held Sunday, May 25, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church on 205 East Stanford Street in Bartow. Interment will be at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow.
