Fort Meade - John H. Batts, Sr., age 90, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020. John was born January 25, 1930 in Colquitt, GA to Joel & Mary Batts. He worked for Dodge as a Mechanic. He was a member of the New Life Baptist Church and Fort Meade Community Center. He is survived by his wife Mary Heath of Fort Meade, FL, son Johnny Batts, step-sons, George "Buzz" Moses & wife Gina of Nashville, TN, Robert "Pete" Heath, Larry Heath, Michael Heath, step-daughter, Nancy Howard, brothers, Joel Batts of Iron City, GA, Jimmy Batts of Bowling Green, FL, Jerry Batts & wife Daphne of Wauchula, FL, sisters Jean Pough of Zolfo Springs, FL, Joyce Fennell of Bowling Green, FL, Judy Morse of Chickamauga, TN, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
