Joel "Jo" W. Cox

Bartow- Joel "Jo" W. Cox, age 83, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale. Born April 18, 1938 in Slocomb, AL to Willie & Nettie Blount Wright, Mrs. Cox was a resident of Bartow since 1959, moving from Troy, AL, Jo was a Engineering Assistant with IMC PhosphateI in Bartow for over 25 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.of Bartow . She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years: Donald R. Cox and her sister: Kate Bottoms and two brothes; Billy Wright and Milton Wright.. She was survived by two daughters: Donna Hollingsworth [Fred], Jacksonville, FL and Debra May [Martin] of Clarksville, GA; four grandchildren; Jamin, Kyle, Chris and Corey and a great grandchild: Deklan. Graveside funeral services willl be held Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 3:00 PM at Bartow Wildwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Bartow First Baptist Church.
