Joe P. Riley

Joe P. Riley, age 54, passed away from respiratory failure at home in Eagle Lake on Sunday, March 2, 2014. Joe was born in Lake Village, Arkansas on August 5, 1959. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Riley was a U.S. History teacher at Lake Region High School where he formerly coached football. He is survived by his wife, of 27 years, Cindy Riley of Eagle Lake, his daughter Alexandra J. Riley of Eagle Lake, currently deployed in Afghanistan, his mother Helen Stewart of Lake Village, Arkansas, his siblings; Charlotte Taylor, John Riley, Linda Groteke, Kay Stafford, James Stafford, Margaret Cartwright, and Donnie Stewart. A celebration of Joe's life will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 10:00AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street in Bartow.
