Joanne Mullis Kitchens age 91, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2026 in Stuart, FL. Born December 14, 1934 in Tifton, GA to John Joseph & Lula Ethelle Mullis. Joanne worked for the State Attorneys Office and later for Belk Lindsey. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lakeland. Joanne was preceded in death by her husband Eddie Kitchens, sister Janet Benefield and brother John M. Mullis . She is survived by her daughter Kimberly Kirkman (husband -Christopher), Palm City, FL, son Steven J Kitchens (wife - Elizabeth Bradley), Port Saint Lucie, FL, two sisters Linda Murrin and Glenda Nagel, sister in-law (Beverly Mullis), five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.. Family will receive friends Saturday, July 18, 2026 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow, FL. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow, FL.
