Joann Walker

Fort Meade - Joann Walker 78, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Bartow Regional Medical Center from heart failure. She was born July 10, 1936 in Perry, FL, Joann and her husband Ed Owned & Operated The Strawberry Patch in Fort Meade for over 27 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Meade and a Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents William & Martha Woods, brother Charles Woods, and infant daughter Kathy Diane Walker. She is survived by her husband of 62 years Ed Walker of Fort Meade. Daughter Beverly Graves (Charlie) of Fort Meade, granddaughter Megan Graves of Fort Meade, three brothers Marion Woods (Helen) of Fort Meade, Horace Woods (Rachel) of St. Petersburg, FL & Othin Woods (Susan) of Brooksville, FL and many nieces & nephews. Family will receive friends Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 10 to 11 am at the First Baptist Church of Fort Meade, 307 East Broadway in Fort Meade. Funeral service will follow May 5, 2015, at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church of Fort Meade. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Meade.
