Joann Patterson

JoAnn Patterson, 78, of Bartow, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday November 18, 2017. A lifetime resident of the area, she was a long time member of Lake Ruth Baptist Church in Bartow, where she also taught Sunday School. Joann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who took great pride in her family. JoAnn was very quick to put others before herself and was always there in times of need. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband William "Malvin" Patterson, and their daughter, Wanda Patterson Her mother, Lerline E. Sims, Father, Papa Sims, sister, Barbara Hoover, Brother, Kenneth R. Sims. She is survived by her sons; Steven M. Patterson, W. Keith Patterson both of Bartow  and J.Tracy Patterson of Ft. Meade. sisters; Linda Haag of Bartow, Judy Blackwell of Kingston GA, brothers; John H. Sims Jr. of Auburndale, FL, Doyle H. Sims of Lakeland, FL, Randy W. Sims of Winter Haven, FL, Glenn M. Sims of Bartow FL. Grandchildren; Stevie Patterson, Hope Duncan, Brandon Patterson, Dustin Patterson, Shania Patterson, Kara Patterson and great grandchildren; Destiny and Lilly Patterson, Maleena, Sienna and Paisley Patterson  She touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by all.
