Joann Chancey

Bartow- JoAnn Chancey, age 83, passed away July 3, 2018 at her home in Bartow. Born October 16, 1934 in Lakeview, GA, she was the daughter of the late Louis Norris and Jennie (Coffee) Nygaard. Mrs. Chancey was a longtime member of Main Street Baptist Church in Bartow. Mrs. Chancey worked as a Switchboard Operator for GTE and Chemical Tank Lines for many years. JoAnn is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Sheffield and her son Richard L. Sheffield. She is survived by a loving family that includes her son, Dale Sheffield (Rebecca) of Dahlonega, GA, Ginny Hamby (Frank) of Lakeland, FL,her daughter in law, Linda Sheffield of Bartow, along with eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 14th from 10am to 11am at Main Street Baptist Church in Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to Main Street Baptist Church Children's Ministry, 1140 East Main Streetb Bartow, FL 33830 .
