Jo Ann Presnell

Bartow- Mrs. Jo Ann Barncard Presnell, 75, of Bartow, died Sun, Oct 14, 2007, of cancer at her residence in Bartow. A native of Duluth, Minn, Mrs. Presnell has been a resident of Bartow 43 yrs, moving from Tallahassee. A graduate of University of Minnesota, Mrs. Presnell taught elementary education at Bartow First Methodist School for many years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bartow. Mrs. Presnell taught basic piano for beginning students in association with several local piano teachers. She was a former Sunday School teacher in Minesota for several yrs; Mrs. Presnell loved and communicated well with children. She was preceded in death by her daughter: Julie Ann Presnell. She is survived by her husband of 51 yrs, Selwyn L. Presnell of Bartow; two sons: Dr. Marc A. Presnell & his wife Terri Gillenwaters Presnell of Lakeland; Eric M. Presnell & his wife Carolyn Burks Presnell of Bartow; sister: Peggy Rich of Duluth, Mn; six grandchildren: Colin, Aubrey & Chase Presnell of Lakeland; Aaron, Evan & Nathan Presnell of Bartow. Family will receive friends Wed, Oct 17, 6-8 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 E. Main St, Bartow Funeral services will be held Thurs, Oct 18, 10:00 AM at First United Methodist Church 455 S.
