Bartow - Jimmy Braswell, 84, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Arbor Oaks at Lakeland Hills in Lakeland. He was born May 27, 1933 in Newnan, GA. Mr. Braswell served in the US Army. He was a resident of Bartow since 1962, moving from Coweta, GA. He was a Instrument Technician for I.M.C phosphate. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Bartow. He was preceded in death by his first wife; Betty J. Braswell. He is survived by his wife of 10 years Lounell Braswell of Bartow, son; Bob Braswell & wife Jackie of Bartow, daughter; Lynn Wren & husband Rock of Bartow, step-son; David Carpenter & wife Carolyn of Lakeland, step-daughter; Sherri Carpenter of Bartow, granddaughter; Kaitlyn Braswell, three step-grandchildren and one step-great grandson. Family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Burks officiating. Interment will be held at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow, FL.
