Jimmie Stephens

Jimmie Stephens, age 75, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 16th, 2021. Born in Winter Haven, Fl., the son of Jim and Maggie Stephens, he was a graduate of the Summerlin Institute, Class of 1964. After honorable service in the U. S. Army, he married his wife, Barbara B. Stephens. Jimmie and Barbara raised two sons in Bartow, Fl. He spent his career working for Farmland Industries. He was a member of Scott Lake Baptist Church of Lakeland. He is survived by his wife of 53 ½ years, Barbara; two sons, Andy and Bobby (Kimberly); granddaughters Kendall and Sarah; and his brother David (Marca). The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 E. Main St. Bartow, Fl. A Memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM and will be led by Dr. David Stephens and Dr. Darin Kress, Pastor of Scott Lake Baptist Church.
