Jessie Mae Owen

Mrs. Jessie Mae Owen, 84, of Bartow, died Wed, Aug 29, 2007, at the Bartow Center of heart failure. A native of Blount County, Ala, Mrs. Owen was a resident of Bartow for over 55 yrs. Mrs. Owen was owner of Lady B Lovely Beauty Shop in Bartow for many years. She was a member of the Bartow First Christian Church where she sung in the choir for many yrs. She was a former member of the Bartow Crickette Club & co-owner with her husband of Owen Produce, Bartow. She is preceeded in death by her son Donald Owen. She is survived by her husband of 65 yrs: Henry L. "Curly" Owen, Jr. of Bartow; son: Rev. Eddie W. Owen & daughter: Barbara Mathes both of Bartow; brother: Emmitt Price of Alabama; 7 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Thurs, Aug 30 from 6-8 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 E. Main St, Bartow. Funeral services will be Friday 10 AM, at the First Christian Church, 400 S.
