Jenny Peterson

Bartow -Mary Virginia "Jenny" Peterson, 82, died Tuesday, January 22, 2008, at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale of congestive heart failure.. A native of Old Fort, NC, Mrs Peterson has been a resident of Bartow for over 50 years, moving from Spruce Pine, NC. Mrs. Peterson was a former witness coordinator for the Polk County Public Defender's Office for 10 yrs. She was a member of the Bartow First Presbyterian Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, John R. Peterson. She is survived by two sons: Randy Peterson of Bartow & Jim H. Peterson of Hazelhurst, GA; daugher: Lynne P. Spears of Atlanta; brother: W. H. "Bud" Duncan of Spruce Pine, NC; 7 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Friday, Jan 25, 6-8 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow.
