Jc Penny

JC Penny, 80, of Homeland, died Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Palm Terrace Hospice in Lakeland. Born March 22, 1929 in Corinth, MS, Mr. Penny has been a longtime resident of the area. He worked in the citrus and cattle industry for many years. He also was employed with OrangeCo Citrus of Bartow. He attended the First Baptist Church of Homeland. Mr Penny is survived by his wife: Jewell B. Penny of Homeland; two stepsons: A.J. & wife Barbara McDougald of Homeland; Fred & wife Judy McDougald of New Tazewell, TN; two stepdaughters: Mary & husband Paul Blue of Middleburg, FL; Lynda & husband Donny Harris of Newsite, MS; sister: Orean Aldridge of Booneville, MS; 10 grandchildren & 22 Great Grandchildren. Family will receive friends Wednesday, April 29, 6-8 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow.
