Jay Boone

Mr. Jarrod "Jay" Boone, age 27, of Auburndale, FL, died Sunday, December 2, 2007. He was born December 19, 1980 in Winter Haven. He graduated from George Jenkins in 1999. He also served in the US Army during the war in Iraq. He worked for YSI Environmental and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was the son of Marcus & Diane Boone of Austin, TX. Brother, Matt Boone of Highland City and his Sister Morgan Boone of Austin, Texas. Grandparents, John & Grace Ritchie of Lakeland; A grandmother: Miriam "Mickey" Price, Bartow. He is also survived by many loving Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 E. Main St, Bartow. Funeral service will be at The Rock Community Church, 210 East Highland Dr. Suite 3 in Lakeland at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 6, 2007. Interment will be at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow, FL.
