Janyce Price

Janyce Price passed away at home on Monday, June 26, 2023, with her loving family. Janyce was born in Bartow, FL, on December 23, 1941, to Thomas P. and Irene Johns Cribb. Janyce was a lifelong resident of Bartow. She graduated from Summerlin Institute, now Bartow Senior High School, in 1959. After graduation, on a beautiful summer evening, she met her one and only love, Ralph Price at a skating rink. It was love at first sight and they married on October 8, 1960. Their son, Gregory A. Price was born on November 29, 1963. Janyce was a devoted mother, wife, sister and friend. She enjoyed her family, friends, dancing, music concerts, and many, many pets, most of them being rescues. She also enjoyed reading and family celebrations and get togethers. She and her husband hosted the Price family reunion yearly. She was also a member of the First Christian Church of Bartow, where she participated in many of the women's programs and was deeply loved there. She was predeceased by her parents Tom and Irene Cribb. She is survived by her family who will cherish her memory: her husband of 62 years, Ralph Price, her son, Greg Price of Bartow and her sister, Carolyn Cribb Day of Ponce Inlet, FL. She is also survived by her two dogs and five cats. A celebration of life luncheon will be held on Saturday, July 1st at the First Christian Church of Bartow, 400 South Oak Ave. Bartow from 11:00am to 1:00pm. In lieu flowers, contributions can be made to any animal organization of one's choice.
