Janet Hartsaw Rogers

Janet Hartsaw Rogers December 21, 1934 – February 12, 2025 Janet Rogers, 90, of Fort Meade, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2025. She was born in Harrison County, Indiana, to Loren and Mae Hartsaw and was a proud graduate of Summerlin Institute, Class of 1952. Janet was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Don, her brothers, Billy and Gene, her son, Bill, and her granddaughter, Alison. She is survived by her brother, Bob (Ellen) of Jacksonville, AL; her children, Jane of Fort Meade, Don (Donna) of Lakeland and Ken (Karen) of Fort Myers; her stepdaughters, Kathy of Lakeland, Ann (John) of Fernandina Beach, and Sue (Steve) of Lakeland; and her daughter-in-law, Mary of Lake Wales. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Janet was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Fort Meade, an active participant in the United Methodist Women and the Fort Meade Garden Club, and a dedicated supporter of Relay for Life. A memorial service will be held at Fort Meade Methodist Church located at 135 E. Broadway St, Fort Meade, FL, on Saturday, March 15, at 11 AM. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fort Meade Methodist Church or Cornerstone Hospice.
