Janet Marie Johnson

Jan Marie Johnson passed away August 9, 2010 due to cancer. Jan was born October 4, 1957 to Robert and Janice Nicks in Miami, OK. She was a graduate of Central State University in Oklahoma. During her career Jan was a professional photographer, public relations and special events coordinator, and a public information officer. Jan was artistically and musically talented. She played drums and guitar and was a member of the church choir. Her favorite time was that spent with her family and she enjoyed travel and photography. She will best be remembered as a loving and devoted wife and mother and for her uniquely individual character and personality. Jan is survived by her husband Chad and children Caitlin, Erin and Connor of Bartow, FL; her brother Walter Nicks and his wife Lauren of Arlington, TX; and her brother Brad Nicks, his wife Susan and children Scott and Abby of Casselberry, FL. Jan was a member of First United Methodist Church of Bartow. A memorial service will be held at the Church located at 310 S. Broadway Avenue Bartow, FL 33830 on Saturday August 21 at 11:00 AM.
