James M. Woodard

James M. Woodard, age 83, passed away from heart failure on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 in Bartow. Mr. Woodard was born in Orlando. He was a longtime Bartow resident. Mr. Woodard was the Vice President of Barney's Pumps Inc. in Lakeland. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. Mr. Woodard was preceded in death by his wife Marian E. Woodard. He is survived by two sons; James Christopher Woodard of Tampa, Eric Monroe Woodard of Bartow, his sister Ann Yager of Haines City, and two granddaughters; Elizabeth Caroline Woodard and Victoria Christine Colina both of Tampa. A memorial service in James' honor will be held on Saturday, August 31st at 2:30pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org
